(Sort-of-double-irony: it's perhaps the least successful feature-length episode, but on this occasion, it's not Gatiss' fault. The structure of Christie's original makes it hugely unsuitable for ITV. Mind you, it might not have been a great idea to hire Gatiss for the story that requires a convincing boy-meets-girl romance at its heart. There's no massive alien parasite that eats them at the end, for one thing.)
